Class Information.
Art of Confidence presents a range of classes to train and inform the body and mind, understanding ability and possibility. Learn to listen to your body and inform your mind. Please take a look at the product offering available with Art of Confidence.
QPS Pilates Matwork
The standard and most recognised form of Pilates group classes on an exersise mat, using small equipment. At the Art of Confidence studio class sizes are limited to six people allowing for expert individual focus and correction. Generally this format is not suited to clients with significant pain/mobility/health issues (it may be possible to address issues 1-2-1 and go on to use matwork classes to maintain function) but exersises will be modified where needed.
INSKN movement and practice
Developed by founding instructor Emma Rhys Thomas the INSKN method uses a unique apparatus to feed into the body’s senses. Simplicity itself, hand held, sometimes body wrapped, the programme of movements may be from lying, seated, kneeling or standing positions, but always dynamic. A move away from MSK training it focuses on the body as a whole. By being more connected with the mind, confidence grows, posture improves and day to day feelings and moving becomes easier.
QPS Pilates Reformer
Pilates using the Reformer is extremely versatile. By changing the resistance it can be very challenging to the whole body or focus on specific areas. It offers a myriad of lying, seated, standing or kneeling positions to suit the needs of the individual.
QPS Pilates Stability Chair
Suitable for all, The Stability chair offers the same versatile range of possibilities as the Reformer. It is more suited to those clients that find it challenging to assume a lying position but equally suited to challenge athletic conditioning.
QPS Pilates Open Studio Session
Working on an individual’s own programme with a maximum of two others sharing the use of the Reformer, Stability Chairs and other small equipment. These sessions are with the instructor present to move clients around the equipment and correct technique, adding to programmes where necessary.
T-WU this way up!
Art of Confidence promotes good posture. This fun picture book is aimed at young children. By learning about good posture and becoming aware of the space they take up children can avoid the ‘if only’ moment in adulthood when bad habits have been embedded and pain ensues!
